Alright, for everyone who didn't bother to see or read the comic book, TFG2. GI Joe:issue #139-#142: Megatron (silver pistol form) attacks Cobra in the GI Joe comic book. One of Cobra's scientists hits him with a "Hypervelocity projectile cannon", a device he instantly takes a liking to, and so he strikes a deal with Cobra to exchange his spaceship full of cybertronian technology for a complete refit and the cannon. The cannon was designed by a Doctor Biggles-Jones, and he also wants to "core" the good Doctor (put her in tube that cuts off all that excess material, other than her brain and central nervous system). Scarlett has infiltrated the Cobra base and has been injured by Snake-Eyes. Cobra makes Megatron into a M1-Abrams attack tank. Megatron takes Cobra to Canada and shows them the Ark he's been hiding. Cobra's hiding a clone of Dr. Mindbender in the helicopter. Cobra takes Megatron to Milleville, a town that turns out to be full of zombies that Cobra created. One of the citizens snaps out of it and knocks over the guys that are carrying Dr. Mindbender's tube. A live wire hits the water that was in the tube and zaps Mindbender, bringing him to life. GI Joe is alerted to the Decepticon's presence and deploys the Ninja Force. Dr. Biggles-Jones reveals to Scarlett that she is a double-agent working for a different national security agency. Cobra Commander doesn't find Megatron's insistance to remain in robot mode too helpful, but Megatron is partial to vaporizing carbon-based life-forms that disagree with him, so the commander backs down. GI Joe realizes who they're dealing with and send a transmission to Cybertron where Optimus alerts the others. Ninja Force starts fighting Cobra troops. Mindbender overhears Biggles-Jones's confession. Megatron shows Cobra his neat toy, a protoplasm stripper, which he plans to use on Dr. Biggles-Jones (knives and a corkscrew in a tube, fun!). Megs goes to the hospital and reaches through the wall to get the Doctor. Scarlett breaks out and goes after Megatron, which, by the way, is 50 feet tall and not happy that anyone is coming to get him. He decides to get rid of the little pest once and for all. He is just about to smush her like an insect when Hotshot, Brawn, Override, Steel-Jaw, Chase, and Skydive show up. He slips the Doctor into his body for safe keeping while he blasts Skydive and pummels Brawn. Cobra Commander is surprised when Scarlett starts attacking his troops ("Hey, she's supposed to be on our side!"). Megs scraps Steel-Jaw, and then blasts Chase's leg. He blows up the rest of Chase and examines his leg to find out by the dirt on it where they stowed the transport they came on. Scarlett tries to dodge Autobot feet and Cabra tanks and is confronted by Cobra Commander. She starts handing out beatings. Megs finds the transport and is attacked by Brawn. Megatron charges power into his hands and implodes neutrons, creating a sub-nuclear explosion (needless to say Brawn didn't make it and neither did the transport ship). The Autobots decide that they have to get the Ark or they're marooned. Spike Witwicky shows up and decides he has to get to Fort Max on the Ark. Megs takes Biggles-Jones out and sticks her in Protoplasm stripper, then heads for the Ark. Override attacks Megs and Megs decides to just tear him to shreds (four down, two to go). The Joes take Skydive into the Ark while he's distracted. Megs dropped the tube but the Doctor decides not to flee as to prevent more lives from being lost. Megs takes the Ark and flees, blatantly forgetting the deal he made with Cobra Commander. Issue #1: This is not your Father's Autobot It starts after the last G1 comic book. Swideswipe, Hound, Blades, the Dinobots, etc, attack a colonizing team trying to take over the planet of Nexus Seven. In the K-Tor star cluster, billions of light years away, the leader of the colonizers is infuriated by the Autobot's insistance to thwart their efforts. Meanwhile, Optimus Prime and his group of Autobots have spent the last few years flying throughout the galaxy, and finding races under attack by a group of unknown Decepticons that have been colonizing the galaxy. He has been having dark visions of death. On one planet, his group, which includes Hot Rod and Kup, and the Dinobots which were already there, find an outpost with plans inside which show that the Decepticons were colonizing a number of planets. Optimus wonders how the current leader (Bludgeon) had enough resources to do this. The outpost is attacked and they are transported to the scorpion-shaped "Twilight" flagship where they learn that in the four million years they were deactivated, the Decepticons left on Cybertron developed and left the planet, under the leadership of a Decepticon named Jhiaxus. He explains that they had been living in a microcosm, believing they were the only Cybertronians left, and says that these new Decepticons had evolved past what they were. Optimus shoots back that they are still conquerers, even when they changed to colonizers. Jhiaxus locks them up. Losing hope, Optimus realizes the full scope of what these new Decepticons represent. Grimlock reminds him of what the Autobots did on earth. He pounds through the wall of the brig, gets their weapons back, and they flee the ship. Jhiaxus doesn't fire on them, thinking that he'll get a second chance. Issue #2: Fort Max Gets the Ax Megatron flees Cobra on the Ark, forgetting the deal he made with Cobra Commander and leaving them only with the parts Cobra took off of him. Hotshot forces the transport carrying the parts off the road, only to find that he's too damaged to move. To prevent Cobra from getting technology from his body, he self-destructs himself. On the Ship, Fort Max tries to stop Megatron, only to be nearly killed in the process. Skydive rescues the scientist and flees as Fort Max walks into the antimatter engine core to destroy himself, the ship and Megatron. On another planet, the Autobots fight Bludgeon's Decepticons. Hot Rod is told to use a strange alien computer to design something to scare them away. A huge green alien creature pops up, and tells them to "Leave this Place Now!" and zaps one of the Pretenders with eye rays. The Decepticons flee. Hot Rod shows up to tell them that he couldn't do a thing with the computer, and the Autobots vacate after looking the nasty alien in the face. Issue #3: Killing Frenzy Optimus and Jhiaxus begin fighting on a strange planet where the start fighting insanely along with the rest of the armies until they discover a creature that feeds on bad emotions has been attacking them. They call a truse until they get off the planet. Jhiaxus remarks that Decepticons were barbarians and is glad there are no more of them like that left, not knowing that Bludgeon is attacking an alien cargo ship at that very time with a moon-sized ship made out of stolen technology called the War World, and has a group of inactive Decepticons that he needs the matrix to activate. Issue #4: Dino-Might Optimus has another vision of death(these are nasty visions; dead robots everywhere, and end with him crumbling away to dust) A group of Autobots, lead by Grimlock, take a large nuclear device on board the Twilight with a stolen ship (without Optimus's permission) and are caught by a large welcoming party. Jhiaxus tells them that they will be taken to the "Lege Maximo", whoever that is, at the Hub, wherever that is, and are taken aboard a ship, which is stopped by Optimus in the nick of time. Grimlock realizes he made a mistake. Bludgeon begins bombing the earth in an attempt to flush Optimus Prime out of hiding, only to discover that Megs is still alive and has somehow reanimated Starscream. Issue #5: Alas, poor Bludgeon (cover: Megatron is holding Bludgeon's skull in his hand) Optimus goes to Cybertron to get information about his visions and sees the first Transformers being created from the material of Cybertron itself in a vision (he goes to a ritual that takes him into the matrix). He knows this, this was how Primus created the first Transformers. He is transported eons in time to see a ritual where one Cybertronian replicates through binary fission. He thought that the only way to create new TF's were through the matrix. He realizes that the Decepticons must have found something that Primus had time-deactivated long ago, and started making more, including Jhiaxus. He separates from the device that gave him the vision, only to miss a scene that shows energy coming off these new Decepticons becoming tinged with darkness and collecting together in space. Megatron attacks Bludgeon and nearly destroys Darkwing on earth. Megs rips Bludgeon's head off and then blasts his tank mode into scrap. Issue #6: Prime Target The Decepticons try to reactivate Darkwing. Megatron begins attacking earth when he discovers Bludgeon's plans, and lures Optimus to it. He comes alone, trying to see if he can't convince Megatron to join him to fight their common enemy. Megatron quickly defeats him and tears off Optimus's chestplate, stealing the matrix while Soundwave looks on. The other Autobots show up and Megatron leaves with the matrix. Somewhere, on another planet, the energy given off in the replication progress of the Decepticons finds another race of robots and "consumes" them. The name of the energy is the Swarm. Issue #7: Death is Afoot The new set of Decepticons, the Rotor Force and Laser Rods, raid a planet for rheanimum, a compound that renders metal super dense and impervious to damage. The newly reformed Darkwing (toy Dreadwing) quickly turns the tide of battle and the Decepticons take the rheanimum. A heavily damaged scout ship comes in and explodes in the atmosphere, the pilot's, Skullgrin's, last words said that a group of other Decepticons scrapped the scouting party. Megatron rallies his troops. When they find the Twilight and attack it, the War World gets badly damaged. Megatron flies into empty space and lands on the other ship, attacks Jhiaxus, and is nearly scrapped. He falls through the atmosphere of the planet near him and begins to burn up. The others find his remains hours later, only to find that he survived the fall--and wants revenge. Optimus is being repaired on earth and wonders why Megatron persists on his path of destruction. Then the hideously damaged Megatron shows up and says he's not happy. Issue #8:Optimus Prime and Megatron: Old Enemies/New Allies Jhiaxus authorizes the destruction of entire planets to flush the Autobots out. Megatron is convinced that being allied is the way to go. Grimlock protests; Megatron asks OP if he has a muzzle. The Autobots get a distress signal from a planet under attack. Megatron sees no reason to follow them, and once they leave, Starscream tells Megatron to take over the base; Megatron doesn't listen to him; Starscream decides to look out for number one. The Autobots found the planet was under attack from the other Decepticons, and the legions of troops were too much for them. The Decepticons show up and help them win the battle. They get back to the War World to find out that Starscream is missing. Issue #9: Waking Nightmare On another planet they travel to, the Autobots find excessive amounts of damage, but nothing like the Second Generation Cybertronians(SGC); metal is taken apart from the inside out. Starscream elswhere finds Jhiaxus and makes a deal. The Swarm consumes a colonizing party on a primitive planet, and when one of the Cybertronians asks it what it is, it realizes it has found the meal it's looking for; Optimus and Onslaught both feel this recognition from the War World. Perceptor analizes the debris from the other planet and finds traces of Transformer DNA (TFs are BIO-mechanical, did you know that?). Megatron asked Optimus if he knew about it, he answers some, but not as much as he'd like to. The SGC army shows up and attacks the base. Issue #10: Total War Starscream ratted out the position of the army to Jhiaxus. The battle starts getting messy and Starscream gets control of the War World. Starscream has his eyes on the matrix, on board the War World. The SGC loses contact with the War World. Three battleships carrying thousands of SGC warriors are attacked by the swarm and it consumes everyone on board and finds out that they were heading to earth from the computer. Two of the Rotor Forces are warming up to Grimlock and the lion-Predacon (I can't remember his name) is not happy. OP and Megs take a ship to the War World to find that Starscream is using the matrix's power to bond to the War World and manipulate the matter contained within. Issue #11: A War World of pain Starscream starts doing strange things with growing spikes out of the War World's material. The SGC are attacking the War World and the damage automatically heals. Starscream almost pushes the two inside to the engine core and OP is almost melted. A large wire comes down so he can grab it. Megs is continually attacked by Starscream. OP tries to find the bridge and succeeds, almost to easily as if the corridors actually remolded themselves. He tries to warn Jhiaxus of the danger he senses and in a rage, Jhiaxus vaporizes San Fransisco. OP looks in horror and wonders how many humans he's killed now. Grimlock, on earth, says "They did it, they dropped the big one." Suddenly, the Swarm joins the fray out of nowhere. Issue #12: Consumed by the Swarm Starscream starts feeling funny and the matrix is rewriting his programming so that he would become a good guy; he doesn't like it and he gives OP the matrix. The Swarm starts consuming the SGC army; OP tries to make a final attempt to stop Jhiaxus and gets nailed in the face by Jhiaxus's fist. It tears his plate off, revealing that he's got teeth under there, but not lips (it looks like a skull, yeeech!) and destroys his speech center. The Swarm invades the Twilight and consumes Jhiaxus. It starts consuming inordinate amounts of Cybertronians. Then Megatron realizes the rheanimum they got in issue #7 can protect them all from the Swarm; he brings it to the failing Autobot/Decepticon army and they are instantly saved. The two Rotor Forces, Leadfoot and Manta Ray, tick off the lion-Predacon (ole whats- his-name) enough that he tries to destoy them. Manta Ray turns him into chop-suey, and then says something to the effect that "We Autobots have to stick together". Starscream gives OP some rheanimum and hopes he's not turning into an Autobot. OP realizes that the Swarm is actually missing what all the other Decepticons are missing: morality. In a last attempt, he allows himself to be consumed. When the Swarm reaches Optimus's (creamy) middle, it releases the matrix's power and is suddenly changed into a warm, yellow color, and reconstitutes OP's form from consumed matter (Combat Hero OP, and you wondered where they got that idea). Optimus gives a speech that they have reached a new era in history and the Autobots and Decepticons would be allies and carry out Primus's ultimate destiny, to bring peace to the galaxy. Unfortunately, in the hub in the K-Tor cluster, the Lege Maximo (a huge, ugly robot with a huge smoking gun) explains to Jhiaxus's second in command, Rook, that the Swarm only destroyed a small portion of his total army, and that they would someday get back at the Autobots for what they did. He also mentions that he would have felt it if Megatron had died, something to the effect that the Lege Maximo had a part in making the Decepticon leader (and I always thought that the Constructicons created Megs on Cybertron; of course, that's not to say that someone couldn't have given them the idea; hey, the replication process may not have been the full cause of the degradation of the Decepticon's morality--that's the idea that OP was trying to pass off, and that Primus had preprogrammed the process to stop when this began to happen; the Decepticons represent the last generations of replicated TF's, the Autobots are the first).
